The Fulcrums delivery of the bomb is what is known as a toss-bombing with initial point. It is an ancient nuclear delivery style - about 50-60 years old tactic.

The point was then, that with a nuclear devise accuracy was not a big concern. Like making a basket in basket ball is easy enough giving a large enough basket (lethal radius).

Now with a preprogammed glide bomb with an inertial navigation system. That is not really a consideration, and it cannot be jammed.

The trick is that after making the large scale Immelmann: Pull up tight from full speed - roll 180 degrees and regains speed in the dive - the air defence missile is inevitably driven into a tail chase at a point where missile has not reached full speed. And try to catch up with a target that is supersonic and maneuvering ever so slightly to a course diverging from the missiles course. Ok, the missile might be able to correct, but generally turns at a rate 3 times higher than the aircraft, but that creates A LOT of drag on the missile (braking it).

The trick is never to come into lethal tail chase range before the missile runs out of steam.
